Just call me Sir.

Interesting the things you pick up at the markets. This is Sir W and he came home with us on Sunday morning for the princely sum of $35. He's copper and big - about 50cm in diameter. He's currently overseeing the bathroom.

There's a judgemental air about him. I wonder who he is and what he was thinking whilst being preserved in this copper mould? He's done a fine job with the twisting of that moustache.

I hope you all had a wonderfully relaxing easter.
That's 1/4 of the year gone...
I need a moment to digest that.

    1. Oooh, is that right! I've been trawling for copper wall art lately. Or more sculpture like stuff. Found something fab up north but the transporting will be too $$. When we bought our house it had an enormous copper rangehood. I let the electrician have it (which he sold to scrap) I regretted it a few months later when I was actually designing the kitchen. Copper can look so good! Let me know if you're after something in particular and I'll keep a look out.x

  2. Don't you love it when you find an interesting one off thing like that...I'm wondering does his eyes follow you as you go past? Jen.

  3. Ha, yes those beady little eyes do. And funnilly, it's not at all freaky.
I do love a good one off. The guy was packing up his stall and it was leaning against a pole. I walked out rather chuffed with him under my arm.
